Choosing a swim spa
How much space does a swim spa need?
All seven are 2.25m wide. Length is the main choice. It decides how much room you have to swim and how many people fit.
Titan, 4.3m
1.2m deep, with nine seats and a lounger. More a social spa with a swim current than a lap pool.
Eros and Eros Pro, 4.5m
The compact pair, 1.5m deep, for swimming and exercise where garden space is tight.
Zelus and Zelus Pro, 5.7m
A longer swim area, plus a lounger for hydrotherapy after a workout.
Helios and Helios Pro, 5.9m
Split into a swim zone and a separate hot tub, each with its own temperature, so you can swim cool and soak warm.
Leave access to at least one long side and one end for servicing.
River Jet or turbine swim spa?
River Jet swim spas
Eros, Zelus, Helios and Titan. Dedicated swim pumps push a concentrated current that suits resistance training and a harder workout.
Turbine swim spas
The Pro models use a belt driven turbine. It moves a wider, smoother column of water that feels closer to open-water swimming, and you can set the speed anywhere from a gentle walk to a full-pace swim.
Swim spa power and base
Power supply
- Eros, Zelus and Titan run from one 40 amp supply.
- Helios, Eros Pro and Zelus Pro need two supplies, 20 amp and 32 amp.
- Helios Pro needs two supplies, 40 amp and 32 amp.
A qualified electrician should fit the supply.
Base and weight
Full, they weigh from 5,120 kg (Titan) to 11,950 kg (Helios), so each needs a level, reinforced concrete base built for the load. Your local showroom can advise on the base and the delivery route.
Using a swim spa all year
Every swim spa is heated, so you can use it through the winter. Keeping a cover on between sessions holds the heat in and keeps running costs down.
