Superior Wellness is proud to introduce the Platinum Premium Shield, their new innovative energy efficient insulation on their flagship brand Platinum Spas.
With running costs and energy efficiency at the forefront of a customer’s mind when buying a hot tub, it is vital to know that your new luxury purchase is not going to cost the earth to run.
With innovation as one of the brand values at Superior Wellness, they are always striving to innovate and improve products based on customer feedback and insight. Superior Wellness is committed to improving the energy efficiency of their products and for inspiration have looked at how modern homes are insulated. A hot tub should not be built any differently.
The new Platinum Premium Shield features on the luxurious Premium range and swim spas from Platinum Spas. This combines five different types of insulation to retain the heat within the cabinet by the Superior Heatlock Insulation Process (SHIP), which includes:
How it works?
By reflecting the heat back inwards, the wasted heat created by the pumps and other components can be recycled. The heat is then used to help maintain the temperature through heat transfer via the vast amounts of plumbing; this assists in reducing overall running costs. The use of the new foil-coated cabinet panels also reflects the cold air out of the hot tub, whilst bouncing the heat back inwards, giving a double advantage.
Graham Message, Business Development Manager, Superior Wellness said: “We are delighted with the innovation which not only benefits the hot tub user, but also the environment. As a company we are very committed to making improvements in energy efficiency in our hot tub design and continuously strive to be the best in the world. I am excited about the new insulation and looking forward to our customers benefiting from this.”
All new Platinum Spas hot tubs in the Premium range and all swim spas will include the Platinum Premium Shield by the SHIP. The end user will notice a considerable difference in the heat retained in the hot tub as well as a reduction in energy costs.
An independent test will be taking place to determine exactly how much energy will be saved with the new process.
