1.Turn the temperature down on your hot tub

If the temperature is turned down by 1 or 2 degrees this will save costs, in the same way as turning down the heating in the house.

2. Check the condition of your hot tub cover

Hot tub covers typically last for 5 years depending on usage. New covers are much better insulated than older ones, so make sure to stock up on new ones for your customers. Also, we highly recommend stocking cover lifters as well to make it easier to lift on and off. This also avoids damage and the cover will last for much longer.

3. Clean your hot tub filters

Many people ask how often should I clean my filters? This will depend on the usage, but we recommend you clean them at least once every fortnight. Heavy usage will mean the filters will clog up quicker. If the filters are clean, the hot tub will run much more efficiently.

4. Check your filter cycle

It is important that you check the filter cycle setting. We advise you to set this to 2 x 2-hour filtration cycle. This is dependent on hot tub use.

5. Air Source Heat Pumps

Air Source Heat Pumps are an energy-efficient and economical way of heating hot tubs or swim spas. They have already proved to be beneficial for heating homes, commercial spaces or swimming pools and now they have become increasingly popular for hot tubs.

What are the benefits of an Air Source Heat Pump?

  • Savings on hot tub heating bills.
  • Can heat up to temperature within 2 hours – great for a quick turnaround.
  • Works all year round and down to -15 degrees external temperature.
  • Self-regulating and timer controlled.
