No, you don’t usually need planning permission to install a 7-person hot tub on your own property. However, you should seek advice from your local council and installation planners before installation if you live on any of the following:
- Listed property
- Conversation area
- Area of outstanding natural beauty
The experts at Platinum Spas are also on hand to give professional advice. Contact us online for advice and to organise a consultation.
The St Tropez hot tub from Platinum Spas has a maximum water capacity of 1000 litres, so you should change the water every 3–4 months as a rule of thumb. If you use your hot tub a lot, it’s a good habit to change the water more frequently than this.
You have to change the water this often because the cleaning chemicals you add stop having much of an effect around this point.
Running a 7-person hot tub is not much more expensive than running a smaller hot tub daily. Typical running costs for any hot tub are around £2.20–£3 per day (or £65–£90 per month) on an energy tariff of about 27.7p per kWh. More energy-efficient hot tubs will be a bit cheaper than this since they use less electricity.
As a globally recognised hot tub brand, Platinum Spas has showrooms all around the world where customers can view products like the 7-person St Tropez hot tub. Find your nearest showroom with our showroom finder tool and get started with a new wellness experience at home.
