At Platinum Spas, we only use the highest quality components, which is why we have chosen globally renowned Balboa as our control system. The Maximus Hot Tub uses the Spa Touch 2 control board and is also compatible with a Wi-Fi app–based remote control (the Balboa Wi-Fi module can be purchased separately), making it easy to use.
Featuring seating for up to 6 people, it’s perfect for entertaining and for use in family homes. At many of our approved retailers, you can book a wet test. A wet test is a visit to the showroom where you can see the hot tub in action, filled with water. You can then get in the hot tub to experience the wonderful hydrotherapy benefits for yourself before committing to purchase.
This might not be available on all models at all stores, so be sure to use our Find A Showroom tool and get in touch with your local experts to find out where you can book a wet test.
Most hot tubs require chemicals to keep the water safe and minimise the requirements for complete refills. Though our Platinum Superior-Zone water filtration system reduces the amount of necessary chemicals, you’ll likely need to use:
- Sanitiser
- Hot tub shock
- Hot tub flush
- Stain and scale control
- Chlorine granules/tablets
- Bromine

Yes, you can! Hot tubs are large appliances, so it’s not unreasonable to need assistance in getting one to your property and installed into your chosen space.
Delivery is arranged via your local retailer, meaning transportation time, cost and carbon footprint are greatly reduced. Once you have purchased your Maximus hot tub, you’ll be able to choose a time and date that suits you. You can then also opt for assisted installation, which is recommended to ensure your spa is set up properly and safely.
Before delivery, you may be asked to confirm that access into your space is manageable. This can mean you’ll need to measure doorways, gates and any narrow passages.

The Maximus hot tub is an ideal addition to any family home. Children can enjoy and benefit from hot tub use, but there are safety measures that need to be in place.
- Children under 5 years old should not use a hot tub.
- Children between 5-12 years old should limit their use to 5-10 minutes at a time to avoid overheating.
- Teens between 13-18 should limit their use to 15 minutes at a time.
- Children should be tall enough to stand at the lowest point of the hot tub with their head above water.
- Hats and sun protection should be worn if the hot tub is exposed to the sun.
