How much space does a 4 person hot tub need?

Leave about a foot clear on every side for service, plus room to fold the cover back.

Plug-in or 240V?

St. Lucia

Four seats and 23 jets. The St. Lucia plugs into a dedicated 15 amp, 120V outdoor outlet, so it avoids a new 240V circuit at a cottage that may not have the capacity. Convert it to 40 amp, 240V if you want faster heating through the winter.

Capri

Four full seats, 49 jets and a 7 inch Balboa touchscreen, from our Luxury range. The Capri needs a dedicated 60 amp, 240V circuit.

Using a 4 person hot tub through the winter

Keep it running and covered all winter, and brush heavy snow off the cover. Set it on a level concrete pad or an engineer-rated deck that won't heave through freeze and thaw.

4 or 6 person hot tub?

If you have the room, several of our 6 person hot tubs are 6 ft 7 in square, the same width as the Capri. The 6 person Reims also plugs into 120V.

4 person hot tub FAQs

Often, yes. The St. Lucia runs from a dedicated 15 amp, 120V outdoor outlet, so it avoids a new 240V circuit at a property that may not have the capacity. If you use it through the winter, converting it to 40 amp, 240V gives faster heating.

The Capri is 6 ft 7 in by 5 ft 7 in, and the St. Lucia 7 ft 1 in by 5 ft 11 in. Leave at least 12 inches on every side for service access, plus room to fold the cover back.

A full Capri is about 2,546 lb and a full St. Lucia 2,987 lb. Use a level concrete pad or an engineer-rated deck, on a base that won't heave through freeze and thaw.

If you have the room, compare them. Several 6-seaters are 6 ft 7 in square, the same width as the Capri. The 6-seat Reims also plugs into 120V.

*Bluetooth sound system is removed on vacation models to prevent tampering and breakages.
